PERMANENT MAKEUP

BROW AFTER CARE

  • Wipe your brows with a wet cotton round 2 hours after the procedure, and wipe again before you go to bed. If your appointment is later in the day, wipe again the next morning. This process helps to remove harden blood/lymphatic fluids which prevent less scabbing.

  • Nothing on brows for first 3 days.

  • After 3 days, apply ointment twice a day AM & PM until all scabs fell off (10-14 days).

  • *If you have extreme oily skin, your artist might recommend to not use any ointment at all*

  • Do not expose treated area to water for at least 7 days, including no sweating, hot steamy shower, hot sauna.

  • Use the eyebrow shield when washing your hair to protect your brows from getting wet. (Wash your hair every other day/use dry shampoo)

  • If you accidentally get the treated area wet, immediately dab dry with a clean towel.

  • You may only apply makeup around the treated area until healing is complete.

  • No sleeping on the treated area. Try to sleep on the back, not the side or on the face. (Make sure your pillow case is cleaned)

  • Absolutely no cleansing cremes or chemicals on the treated area.

  • Absolutely no scrubbing. Do not pick at the epithelial crust; allow it to flake off on its own.

  • Do not to touch the treated area with your hands until healing is complete.

  • Do not expose the treated area to a room with a lot of debris, smoke or steam.

  • After 7 days, you can get the treated area gently wet (No direct running water, scrubbing, washing). Gently pat dry with towel, do not rub.

  • You can go back to normal washing when all scabbing are completely fallen off.

    Healing schedule:

    • Immediately after: "THEY ARE PERFECT!" but they will feel like a sunburn (you can take painkiller after if needed)

    • Day 2-5: "OMG! They are so dark!!!" - because the color oxidized (just like an apple turns brown after you left it out)

    • Day 4-10: "They're so itchy I want to scratch it so bad!" - but DO NOT do it because it will take the color off.

    • Day 5-14: "Ew! They are peeling!" - As bad as you want to pick them, DON'T DO IT! It will cause permanent scarring and pigment loss.

    • Day 14: "All the scabs fell off, but my brows are so light" - After the skin is healing the top color flakes off, your permanent make up will appear spot like and uneven as your skin does not shed the color evenly and all at once. The color my also appear to be gone as you go through the frosting stage. Do not worry color will reappear after your skin is completely healed, which can take up to 4 weeks!

If you have followed good aftercare you should have lost no more than 20% of the color. This is when you come in between 4 - 8 weeks to do your touch up so we may fill in the 20% color lost.

NOTE: My work is only as good as the canvas I have to work on. If your skin is sun damaged, (even from tanning beds) thick and uneven in texture, scared, excessively dry or oily, the result cannot be exactly the same for each person. However, boosts are needed to ensure the best result and to keep your permanent cosmetics looking the best.

NEW PROCEDURE:  Your first 4-8 weeks Touch Up has been included in the price of your initial new procedure and is at no additional cost (After 8 weeks, it will cost $100.00). If you desire a second Touch Up after the first complimentary Touch Up, you must wait 4 weeks from your first Touch Up and your cost is $100.00.

6-24 MONTH TOUCH UP: If you desire a second Touch Up, you must wait 4 weeks from your first Touch Up and your cost is $100.00.

We will not go into the skin more than 3 times in the same area in a 6 months period. Any additional work desired after the third procedure must wait 6 months. Annual Touch Up should be scheduled between 12-24 months or longer after your original procedure, depending on your color retention based on your life style, and skin anatomy.

LIPS AFTER CARE

  • For a few hours following the procedure until before you go to bed, blot your lips with wet wipe to remove lymph fluid, follow with aftercare ointment after.

  • Apply aftercare ointment as often as needed to keep your lips moisturized

  • Avoid hot, spicy, and salty foods as it may cause irritation

  • Avoid large bodies of water, direct sun exposure, teeth whitening, rubbing and smoking

  • Drink plenty of water to keep your lips hydrated

  • Do not pick or scratch the lips as it may lead to a loss of pigment and/or scarring

  • Do not use any cosmetic products on unhealed lips

  • Peeling/chapped lips is normal and is often experienced in the first few days of healing

    Healing Process:

    • Immediately After: Swelling, tender, heavy, thick lipstick look.

    • Day 1-2: Slight swelling, reddish, tender, slight metallic flavor.

    • Day 3-4: Less swelling, thicker texture, sore, hot feeling, very chapped lips.

    • Day 5: Very chapped but almost finished with 1st chapping stage.

    • Day 6-10: See soft, rich color.

    • Day 10-14: Lip color disappears - "frosty" stage begins (2d chapping stage), a whitish, grayish haze on lips.

    • Day 14: Color "blooms" from within more and more each day until day 21

    • Day 21: The healing is completed. The color you see is the color you have. However, lips remain a bit dry for a month or two. Use a good lip balm and they will return to normal but with color!

    • For dark lip/Lip neutralization, it might take up to 6-8 weeks for the pigment to fully come back.

FAILURE TO FOLLOW POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS MAY CAUSE LOSS OF PIGMENT DISCOLORATION OR INFECTION!

TOUCH UP IS NOT INCLUDED FOR NEW LIP PROCEDURE

Due to the unique nature of individual lip pigments and color preferences, achieving your desired outcome may require multiple sessions. Touch-up appointments are recommended between 6-12 weeks following each session, are available for $150 per session.

EYELINER AFTERCARE

Day 1:

  • After the procedure, cleansing should be done by compresses with the water wipes provided for the first 4 hours to clean the eye area in a padding motion, this is to absorb excess lymph fluid. Removing this fluid prevents hardening of any blood/lymphatic fluids and lessens the chance of scabbing. DO NOT APPLY OINTMENT!

  • Evening: Use lukewarm wet cotton round to clean your eyes gently before bedtime (Do not use rubbing motions, use dabbing motions)

  • Dry the area: Allow to air dry, or dry with a paper towel. DO NOT APPLY OINTMENT!

  • Eyes may vary from slightly puffy to swollen, heavy lids; light sensitive and possibly bloodshot eyes. Sleeping in a slightly elevated position can also reduce any residual swelling of the eyes.

Day 2

  • Clean: Use lukewarm wet cotton round to clean your eyes gently before bedtime (Do not use rubbing motions, use dabbing motions)

  • Dry the area: Allow to air dry, or dry with a paper towel before applying ointment. Apply the provided ointment on the treated area with a clean q-tip.

Day 3 - 7

  • DO NOT WASH!

  • Apply Ointment: Apply ointment sparingly 2 to 3 times a day. Use the Q-tip in a gentle dabbing motion as not to disrupt the pigmentation bonding process. This will keep the area moist and accelerate the healing. If scabs form, keep ointment on them at all times. Do not rub the area in any way.

Day 3-4:

  • The top layer of skin will begin to flake off in little stitch looking lines (some client do not notice the scabbing) DO NOT PICK THEM – you will pull pigment out and end up with uneven color. It is important not to pick at it or rub the eyes.

The following must be avoided:

  • Water on the eyeliner for long period of time. You can get your eyeliner wet but dab dry right away with clean towel.

  •  Avoid use of cleaners, soaps and heavy creams on your eyeliner

  • Do not use contact lenses for 48 hours.

  • Do not use mascara or makeup near your eyeliner until the healing is complete.

  • Do not rub, pick or scratch, as the color may heal unevenly and you could risk infection, which in turn could lead to scarring. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away.

  • Avoid direct sun exposure/tanning or tanning beds for 4 weeks after procedure. Wear a hat when outdoors and/or big sunglasses.

  • Eyes are sensitive to pet dander, gardening, dust and dirty hands. Sunglasses add wonderful protection to sun.

  • Avoid heavy sweating, exercise, sports, sauna, swimming, steam rooms, jacuzzi, and long hot showers for 10 days.  Eyes heal very well. However, they are exposed to the possibility of a secondary infection like conjunctivitis. Seek medical attention if needed.

  • Avoid use of skincare or cosmetics on the treated area.

  • Avoid using exfoliants, acids such as glycolic acid, alpha hydroxy acids lactic acid, salicylic acid, and Vitamin A on or around the tattooed area for 30 days. (Causes premature fading)

  • Use a fresh pillowcase. Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days.

  • Do not schedule any facials, microdermabrasion, microneedling, peels or laser treatments for at least 4 weeks. They can darken/lighten or distort the pigment.

  • Avoid drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds.

  • Avoid driving in open air vehicles such as convertibles, boats, bicycles, or motorcycles.

  • Do not performing tasks related to heavy household cleaning such as garage or storage cleaning where there is a lot of airborne debris–now is not the time!. Care must be taken to keep the eyes clean and free of bacteria.
